Native Daughters of the Golden West
Children's Foundation

The wonderful world of children should be filled with happy hours where every new born day brings a smile that fills your heart.  But not all children enjoy a fun-filled healthy childhood, nor do they know the gladness of romping in the hills or the beauty of the sunset.  Instead for some there is darkness .... pain .... heartache and despair.
Misfortune strikes many children with problems as varied as the day is long.  But fortunately for some, there is the Native Daughters of the Golden West Children's Foundation ... a program for children of all races, of all creeds, from infancy to the eighteenth year, in the average American home.
Never were fields so fres, so green for little David who now has a new wheelchair.  Never was life so much fun for sightless Jill who hiked and played at the summer camp for the blind; never were days so filled with joy for Jennie as she walked about with her new leg brace, or for Susie with her artificial limb.
The world which should be filled with health was made possible by the grants from the Native Daughters of the Golden West Children's Foundation.
The order of the Native Daughters of the Golden West is pre-eminently a patriotic organization, founded on the principles of Love of Home, Devotion to the Flag of our Country, Veneration of the Pioneers, and Faith in the Existence of God.  All these principles are entwined in their child welfare program.
Members of the Native Daughters of the Golden West are proud of their child welfare program which provides for children whether the need be physical or material.  They are proud too of the application for grants which preserves the dignity of the individual.
To the members and their friends, children in need are not forgotten; indeed through the Native Daughters of the Golden West Children's Foundation these youngsters are the fore-runners of their generous heart.
